Stroke Treatment

A stroke occurs when the blood supply to a part of the brain is interrupted or reduced, depriving brain tissue of oxygen and nutrients. Within minutes, brain cells begin to die, making timely treatment critical. Strokes can lead to long-term disability or even death, but prompt medical intervention can save lives and improve outcomes. Although temporary, a TIA can be a warning sign of more severe strokes and often shares similar underlying causes like clotting or arterial blockages. Administered within 3–4.5 hours of symptom onset, this drug dissolves clots in ischemic strokes.
